Miscellaneous observations about the Wheel of Time
- [Vol.1] How did Tam Al'Thor become a blademaster fighting for Illian? Did
he know the king, Mattin Steppaneos, who has since vanished? Tam's role in the Aiel
War is still a mystery.
- [Vol.6] Fighting between Borderland nations Arafel and Shienar has been
reported. This is probably a result of Hurin's news about the Dragon Reborn.
Signs of Tarmon Gai'don
- [Vol.1] The prologue of the series, where Lews Therin destroys himself, may precipitate that
much-anticipated final ending. Like a Wheel, history repeats itself.
- [Vol.4] In a dream, the dead wolf Hopper told Perrin that he would hunt
with him in the Last Battle. Does this mean that the Horn of Valere will
call back dead wolves? Or will the Last Battle be fought in tel'aran'rhiod?
- [Vol.7] Rand, Mat, and Perrin now see swirling, dizzying colors every time they think of each
other. This began when Rand was locked in the chest by Elaida's delegation. It probably
has something to do with being ta'veren and the Pattern, but I can't begin to guess what.
- [Vol.10] There's one Seal left on the Dark One's prison When the last Seal breaks, the Dark One
will be free to fight Rand.
- [Vol.10] Food around the world is rotting, despite good storage and Aes Sedai protection weaves.
This has been noted in Egwene's camp, in Elayne's royal storerooms, and in the town of So Habor.
- [Vol.10] The dead are walking. Rand saw dead Asha'man in Far Madding [Vol.9], Mat saw apparitions
on the way to Jurador, and Perrin and his people encountered a plague of walking dead in So Habor.
Even Elayne's maid screamed about seeing a dead person standing in a hallway. At first glance,
this seems like it may be the work of Paidan Fain . . . but how could Fain travel across the continent so
fast? The Dark One is also known as the Lord of the Grave. This may be a result of his influence
now that only one Seal remains.
